Model Co. FIBRE LASHXTEND Mascara: Swatches + Review!

Am I allowed to recycle photos when blogging?
Too late!!

But seriously, I hope you don't mind... it's only a few photos from when I opened my November Birchbox and, since they were perfectly good pictures of this mascara I'm about to review, I figured it was acceptable to use them again instead of just taking, essentially, the same Glamour Shots part deux.

As you may (or may not) remember, I was very excited to try this mascara since a.) it was a full size sample (meaning I wouldn't have to spend money on the full size if I fell in love with a wee sample), and b.) I could actually SEE the little fibre extensions on the mascara wand when I pulled it out of the tube.

Sadly, fast-forward to the other day when I got around to trying the Model Co. FIBRE LASHXTEND Mascara out, my dreams were dashed as this was one of the most frustrating mascaras I have ever had the displeasure of using.
I could have negated the sticky and clumpy application if the results were fantastic, but I felt they were merely subpar for a mascara that costs three times more than drugstore alternatives (which, mind you, provide stellar results).

 No mascara.
One coat of mascara on top lashes only.

Two coats of mascara on top lashes only.

So, as you can see, yes this provides length to your lashes.
However, during the application process it takes away pretty much all volume that you ever dared to dream for your lashes by making them stick together in a most unflattering way. I'd say I could use one coat of this for a daytime look at best, but for a fibre extensions mascara I'd say that's pretty pathetic.

Have you tried the Model Co. FIBRE LASHXTEND mascara?
Loved it? Hated it (I don't blame you)?
What is your favorite mascara for volume and length?
Do share because I clearly need a new one!

xoxo - Cassie
