Okay, so I really don't know why I call these "sailor nails" but they just seem so... nautical to me.
All it took to do this look was my normal base and top coat, plus my Delia*s gold polish and NYC's "Skin Tight Denim" navy blue polish. And some patience, but that's besides the point.
Just wanted to post some pictures for some possible nail inspiration!
Alright, so that was probably the longest blog post title I've ever written, but that's because the names of the products were all different. HOWEVER, they're all from Ojon: my go-to brand when it comes to treating my hair.
To put it simply:
What chocolate is to Cassie, Ojon is to dry/damaged hair.
Now jump with me to read all about it and see how these suckers work!
I fell in love awhile back with the Roseland Disco Wrap bracelet from Baublebar when Missglamorazzi first started wearing hers. However, I just couldn't justify spending $28 (plus shipping, I'm sure) on a bracelet that I was sure I could make myself.
Oh ballet slippers, where have you been all my life? Well, other than in the trash (I was never meant to be a ballerina; not with these curves anyways!)
Take the jump to read about the fabulosity that is this nail polish!
Today has been a little more crazy than I would have liked.
I planned on finishing my unpacking this afternoon (I'm so close; only a couple more boxes!!) but nooooooooooo the world just didn't want that to happen.
but I'm back and hopefully going to be blogging like a crazy person once more!
To start things off, here's my latest YouTube video that I just uploaded the other day:
I look like an absolute frazzled mess in the last portion (the haul) but that's because I was/am. Moving across the country from home/family/friends is not easy and I've been stressed and overwhelmed out of my mind this week with everything going on.
As I mentioned at the end of the video, I had to order a new camera (which I did yesterday, whoo hoo!!) since the one I had been using for filming was my mom's. In any case I'm hoping to receive the camera in the mail sometime next week so I can continue making YouTube videos!
I don't have much else, so I'm just going to dump some kitty photos on you... so if you're curious to meet my new baby Galileo, take the jump below!
I have a long standing relationship with galaxies; I started painting them in 2010 and since then my canvases have gotten bigger, they incorporated themselves into my watercolor portraits, and they're essentially what got me into a Master's program.
Essentially, what I'm saying is that galaxies have a very special place in my heart.
How I missed the bandwagon on galaxy nails, I really have no idea but I finally jumped on and couldn't be happier! So here's my take on cosmic inspired nails and how I did them:
I hope you enjoy! Let me know if you tried these out yourself :)
I had the most wonderful surprise placed (scrunched and slammed... thanks heaps, UPS man; you're welcome for my photographing the non-abused side of the box for your protection) between my screen & front door the day we got back from the airport last week.
It was my Birchbox!! What an early and pleasant surprise!
Ahhhhh~ back to the days of multiple posts in 24 hours.
Here's a YouTube video that just got finished uploading on how I do a very voluminous bun for thin/fine hair (the bane of my existence!!! After acne, that is).
I hope you enjoy!! Lemme know if you tried it out yourself :)
I have a few posts planned for the next few days here but I figured I would just start out with a photo dump from my vacation. I hope you don't mind and enjoy the photos (especially if you've never been to Colorado like me!! It was breathtaking [literally... the altitude was insane]).
Did I need to place another order at Sephora? No. But I figured it was deserved after all of my hard work with packing AAAAAAAAND there were deluxe freebies involved.
I've got an OOTD, Youtube video, and general life update so for those of you interested in the nonsense I've gotten into in the last week I've been absent from blogging, take the jump below!!
