SUPER BIG UPDATE!!!

I've got an OOTD, Youtube video, and general life update so for those of you interested in the nonsense I've gotten into in the last week I've been absent from blogging, take the jump below!!

First off, here's the latest Youtube video that has been posted (and the last one for a week or two here...):

This was one of my favorite videos to edit, create, and just overall watch. Probably just because I'll want to reminisce about the good old days back home once I've moved.

Speaking of which, it's been a pretty hectic last week or so here.
For starters, I finished my mosaic furniture that I was talking about; I forgot to take a picture of the end-table that I did, but here are shots of my dresser (which was the masterpiece of the two by far haha)!:

 (close-up of top drawers)
(close up of middle door w/froggie handle!!)
The finished mosaic-ed piece!! Yeah buddy!!!

So that was one major accomplishment to say the least. Have you tried mosaic-ing? Do you like it? I find it extremely tedious and boring but I love the finished result haha. A little give, a little take I do suppose.

Anywhew, so we got that all packed up along with my other things (aka a lifetime of hoarding) into the U-Haul pods.
Which leads me to the next set of pictures; one being of one of the pods whilst being filled (yes, we shoved more in there in the end]) and then the finished/packed pods with me making a glorious (dork-tastic) pose in front of them.

Please don't think I'm an alckie (aka an alcoholic); I got all of my boxes at the liquor store since I didn't have enough and didn't want to pay for more haha #cheap4life.

I honestly can't believe how much we were able to cram into these two tiny (7'x8') pods. If you're curious, this is what we fit in: the mosaic-ed dresser, a six drawer dresser w/vanity mirror, queen size mattress, queen size bed frame, queen size box frame, two large mirrors, dining room table, two dining room chairs, one lounge chair, one recliner chair, one loveseat sofa, one full size sofa, multiple canvases/paintings, a 52" flat screen tv, a bookshelf, a cat play tower, and all of my clothing/shoes/knick-knacks/kitchen ware/dvds/etc. I could go on, but I'll spare you. It was a horrendous process (packing into boxes and then puzzle piecing it all into these pods) which I never want to endure again, even though I know I will have to in the next few years.

Just thinking about it again makes me want to ralf multiple times over... not to mention the thought of unpacking it all in 20 days hahahahahhahahahahha ohhhhhh man #killmenow?.

I took a few shots from the outfit I was wearing that day (from the photo above); it was great to find these Lacoste shoes of mine that I got for Christmas way back in high school. I had completely forgotten about them but even six years later they look almost brand new!!

T-shirt - Goodwill
Shorts - Goodwill
Shoes - Gift
Watch - Fossil (Gift)
Rosegold/Pink Stone Bracelet - Thrifted
"love" Bracelet - D.I.Y.

This shirt is one of my favorite lazy day tees. It's so soft and comfortable and I love the graphic on it (which I want to beat myself up for not taking a shot of); it says "go WILD for libraries" and then there's a toucan and jaguar resting on the text hahahah. It's just so punny, plus I'm a big reader of books so it was a great find for me, especially when I only payed $1.50 for it.

The "love" bracelet (and vlog posted at the beginning of this post) just reminds me of my dear friend Dana; I made her the same bracelet for her 23rd birthday (which is next week, and also which I will be missing) and also as a little going away present. She really is so dear to me and today was the last day I'll probably see her for at least a few months as we both move off to different states to get our Masters degrees.
So Dane, if you're reading this, I love you and know that I always keep you in my thoughts and in my heart. I can't even begin to tell you how much I value the friendship we've had for over ten years now and can't wait for all that is in store for us in the future.

And with that, I'll end with a little picture of some flowers Dana got me when I was having a rough day yesterday... seriously, how sweet is this girl!??!? She finds out I'm hurting and brings me my favorite flowers (Sunflowers) plus chips, donut holes, and her Game of Thrones DVD's hahaha. So fantastic, and cheered me right up.

So that's the end of my extremely long update! Thanks for reading this far if you did :)
I hope all is well for everyone!! Sorry I've been so MIA (and will continue to be since I'm going on a family vacation to Colorado for a week starting tomorrow) this past week, but I'm hoping to get one more post up tomorrow morning (please don't beat me if I don't) and then when I get home I'll have a whole week to do absolutely nothing aka will be living on my laptop because I'm a shut-in at heart.

Let me know how you've been!!
Have you ever moved across the country?
Has your summer been as crazy and wonderful as mine?

xoxo - Cassie

Hahaha, I mosaic-ed the dresser, yes... I'm glad you like it, thank you! It was a b**** to make but I'm happy with it. And yes, I'm so lucky to have had Dana in my life all these years; everyone deserves a friend as lovely as her <333

And what are you talking about moving ACROSS a country is scary; you're moving to a whole NEW country!!! So yes that counts hahah ;) I actually studied in Germany (only for a semester though) back in high school and it was one of the best experiences of my life, so I hope you have the same (if not, better!!) experience :) You'll have to let me know how that goes! When do you move? I can't believe I hit the road in eight days!!
