9/19 OOTD

I absolutely cannot believe that it's almost the end of September!! I had to check the date for this post and it made me a little queasy; where has the time gone? Then I remember I just moved halfway across the country on my own, started my Master's program, and am a proud new mamma of a crazy kitten... yup.
Makes sense why a month flew by so fast!

Take the jump to read the rest of the post and get the details on my outfit :)

Sweater Dress - Forever21 (if I'm remembering correctly, this was on sale for $6!)

This sweater dress is one of my favorites that I own (most of my sweater dresses are just normal sweaters that are oversized [and thus a dress on my short self] from Goodwill); I love the big abstract pattern, the bright peacock teal color, and the fact that I get tons of compliments on it every time I wear it!
Unfortunately I ended up regretting wearing this as the day progressed. The weather was absolutely perfect for a sweater and a jacket this morning but once noon rolled around... I was roasting!! Oh well, I guess I'm just happy that the weather is on the right track for turning into Fall (eventually).

Lips - Revlon Kissable Balm Stain "Honey" (Swatched and reviewed with others here!)
Double Fish Ring - Nordstrom
Stone Ring - Ebay
Sheer Dark Brown Tights - Mom (I'm sure they were from Target or Walgreens)
Light Grey Socks - Target
Chestnut Buckle Boots - Alloy (I've had these puppies for eight or nine years!! $30 well spent!)

I felt so strange as I left my apartment this morning without anything thrifted on my body, so I threw on my thrifted jean jacket as I scurried out the door. It's kind of weird what becoming a thrifter has done to me, haha! My only consolation was that the rest of this outfit was really cheap/on sale so I guess in the long-run I didn't care too much.

And just a little random side story:

I went to Target real quick to pick up cat litter and a hair product and of COURSE ended up buying Galileo a new toy... seriously, I should never have children; I will be broke before they are even born. After wiping poop off Galileo's hiney twice this past week (I don't know what his problem is... what would possess him to sit down in his poo!?) he should be buying ME a present but noooooo I ended up getting him something.
Le sigh.

I got him this little scratching mat that has catnip built in and a bunch of feathers sticking out of one part of it... he's in love!

So that's it guys! I hope you're all well :)
If you're a thrifter: do you feel weird when you're not wearing anything thrifted in your outfit?
If you don't thrift: do you feel weird when your whole outfit is from the same retail store (I remember I always used to get freaked out when that happened, haha)?

xoxo - Cassie

Hannah: Thank you for the comment! I'm glad I'm not alone when it comes to feeling weird not wearing anything from the thrift store :p I felt so weird about it that I am working on putting up an OOTD for today with thrifted clothing in it to make up for this one haha. And I'll let my kitty know you think he's cute by giving him a treat ;)
